Marinosolv® enhances bioavailability

Heterogenic suspended versus homogenous solubilized hydrophobic API

The bioavailability of highly potent and hydrophobic drugs is generally limited by two principal factors: the low solubility and the low stability in aqueous systems. Due to their low solubility, such substances are often formulated as dispersions or dissolved in solvents, which are not miscible with aqueous solutions. However, dispersed drugs hardly permeate through sensitive tissues. Therefore, the Marinosolv® formulation enables solutions of hydrophobic compounds and offers several advantages compared to suspensions, such as faster onset of action.
